Hi all. Hope you are all well. The challenge for this week is called "Over to you" as it has been generated by the Thursday Evening Craft club ladies...each one added a piece of the challenge so I guess you can call it a joint effort.
The criteria:
Create a card or any project using the following:
- The shape of the card or project must be Oval.
- You must include Acetate in some way.
- There must be a celebration theme...which could be a personal celebration (eg Birthday, Wedding Anniversary) or a theme such as the diamond Jubilee, the olympics (it could be based on images or colours or both)
- Use a recycled element.
- Include buttons.
- Use ribbon in an unusual/unconventional way.
Thank you girls for this lovely challenge.....Hmmmmn, lots to think about with this one. Don't forget this is just a guide, you can of course do you own thing with some of the elements if you wish.
Here is my craft project....it is not quite finished as it needs a few scrolls and gems ....so check back soon. She looks a bit scary at the moment!

This is called decopatch....(which is a trade mark) it is in fact paper piecing collage amd is great fun. You can create this effect on many different surfaces...photo frames, furniture, glass jars and bottles....the choice is endless. The Art shop in Rayleigh has just got in a delivery of the papers, glue and papier mache supports, such as the above mask, letters, numbers and animals. I really enjoyed creating this and will share my step by step tutorial with you shortly.
Here's my offering on this challenge for the card makers....which I will demonstrate at this weeks Craft Club.

I have incorporated all the elements for the challenge (my recycled pieces were the diamonte gem which came off a shop bought card and the greeting was printed on the back panel of an old card. I hope you can see from the photo my butterfly is floating on the end of an acetate strip which gives great movement....just a gentle breeze and it's off and flying. I have even used the free geeting stamp from the May DoCrafts Creativity Magazine! The beautiful blossoms are cut from our new die which is now in the Craft Club die section for you to use each week.
A lovely fresh looking card which will be themed for a celebration using a special birthday number....can't say too much... In case she's looking in!
Have a lovely day!
