Craft Coffee Mornings - Regrettably Cancelled.

Morning all,

This post is to let you know that, regrettably,  I have decided to cancel any future Craft Coffee mornings for Becky Lou Memories.  This was a very difficult decision and was based on a number of reasons.  With this in mind I would stress that my decision has nothing to do with our lovely venue Café Tiere who were absolutely lovely and I will continue to support their warm and welcoming café.  A big thank you to Matt, Simm and Ryan for all their help over the last year and I wish them every success in the future.  Of course, I will be popping in from time to time for my tea and cake so I may catch up with you at some stage.

I still look forward to our Craft Club sessions and anyone new fancy coming along ...give me a call.

Hi All,

Happy January 2014 to everyone and hope you all had a fantastic Christmas.  I had a great time with my family and despite having 5 weeks off work so far I am still in the swings of wading through my heaving Craft Studio in an attempt to clear the clutter and I am not sure I am winning this one...no really I am!!!  I have been clearing, bagging and throwing for over a week now and I am now nearly finished so for next week I am tackling my scheduling of crafty projects for the year.....which is the fun part!! The clearing out has been a hard slog as I have had a really bad cold, throat and cough and haven't felt too well but knowing it all has to be finished in the next week has spurred me on.

I thought I would catch up with you all just to remind you of a few dates for you to put on your calenders:

• The Pinnacle Craft Club members weekend starts today (Friday 24th January 2014 and continues on the Saturday and Sunday 25th and 26th.  I am not sure if I will be there as I still feel a bit under the weather but if things improve I shall certainly try to pop along.
• The Craft Coffee Morning is back on and the next one is on Monday 3rd February 2014 from 10am till 12pm and is at Café-Tiere in Berrys Arcade in Rayleigh. I am looking forward to catching up with you all for a nice cuppa and a big of cake!
• The Craft Club also resumes on the week commencing Monday 3rd February 2014 and I will post my Craft Club Challenge in the next few days....I promise to keep is simple in order to ease us back in.

Next Craft Coffee Morning - Monday 2nd December 2013

Hi all, the next Craft Coffee morning is on Monday 2nd December 2013 at Café-Tiere in Berrys Arcade Rayleigh Essex from 10am till 12pm...hope you can make it as this will be our last one until February 2014.

I will bring along all the finished fabric flowers made during this weeks Craft Club Challenge and hope to see some of your beautiful creations and projects too...if you haven't had the time don't worry....it is a hugely busy time of year...it will just be nice to catch up and have a relaxing cuppa before the mayhem starts in December!!

Craft Coffee Morning - Monday 4th November 2013

Hi all, I know its short notice on the web ....but I have been reminding you all week....its that time again...If you are as fed up with the weather as I am and fancy popping along to the Craft Coffee Morning I will be there ...snuggled up in the corner with a warm milky hot chocolate and a huge slab of cake..so if you fancy joining me for a good old chin-wag that'll be great. I may even bring a bit of craft to do...I really want to sew some fabric Christmas Tree decorations but just don't seem to get the time.

Next Craft Coffee morning - Monday 1st July 2013

Another week has passed me by and we are nearly at the end of June!!!! (can you believe it) You know what that means....another Craft Coffee morning is due very soon and I am hopeful of yet another great turnout. Café-Tiere has had a few alterations in the last few weeks and has re-opened this week as a larger and refurbished café.  I would like to congratulate Simm, Matt and Ryan on all their hard work and it will be great to visit the Café for our forthoming Craft Coffee mornings which seem to be expanding each month.

Another busy week, another weekend that shot by in a flash...my Craft Fair went off without a hitch and I am chuffed to have met some lovely artisans showing their beautiful wares.  In all this excitement I had forgotten to post reminders for the Craft Coffee morning.....so here it is....better late than never:

Thank you Ladies for a Great Coffee Morning

I just wanted to say thank you for yet another lovely coffee morning.  Yet again there were fifteen of us there (plus 3 younger ones as it was school holidays) and it was just the excuse I needed for copious amounts of lovely coffee and a huge slab of carrot cake...thank you Matt and staff for looking after us.  Again it was so lovely to see new faces there and I have already popped the next one in my diary (which is  Monday 13th May as the first Monday is a bank holiday)

The sun was shinning, the temperature was on the way up...yippee...at last, and we were all set for a great
Craft Coffee Morning in Café-Tiere (Rayleigh) and it didn't disappoint!  Thank you ladies for a great morning...it was great to see so many there (14) and some new faces. (sorry Jackie, Jackies mum ...you had just gone and Dot you hadn't arrived yet so you are not in the photo). Lots of craft chat and some ladies who recognized each other from years gone by which is what its all about!

Thank you Matt for putting up with us and making us lots of tea, coffee and teacakes.

Really looking forward to the next one which is on 8th APRIL 2013 (1st Monday being Easter Monday so put it back one week to the 8th April).  Don't forget to bring your makes with you so we can all take a peek and if you've seen any new craft products that you think we should all know about please let us know.

Starts 10am till 12pm.....All crafters welcome (not just craft clubbers) bring along some of your makes and anything you want to chat about, crafty news, new products, magazine snippets....make new crafty friends and enjoy a tea/coffee and cakes and lots of craft chit chat!   (No sellers please).

Morning All!

Just thought I would catch up with you all on this snowy chilly Monday morning...Working in the craft room today, still tidying and re-organising the studio and hopefully it will be sparkling when we start the Craft Clubs again which is the week commencing 28th January 2013 so very much looking forward to seeing you all again.  Also another reminder that the Craft Coffee Morning is on Monday 4th February 2013 .  (see the tab for full details).

All my craft photos are now sorted on the laptop and I am up-loading some of your projects to share.  Here are some of Jane Tylers beautiful stained glass stepping stones, a very talented artisan who has come to the craft club for about 4 years now.  She is passionate about Tiffany Stained Glass and also is an exquisite cross stitcher.

Lovely work and I will post more photos on stained glass in the future.

 

Coffee Morning - Thank You

This is just a quick post to say a huge thank you for a lovely Coffee Morning (the first of many I hope)  which was on Monday at Café-Tiere in Berry's Arcade in Rayleigh... A huge "Thank you"  to Matt and his staff for letting us meet in the café.  It was great to see so many crafters most whom are regulars at the craft club but it was lovely to meet the new crafting ladies who I haven't met before.  I hope to see you again at the next Craft Coffee Morning which will be on:

 Monday 3rd December 2012 - 10am till 12pm  
(same Venue CAFÉ-TIERE - wear your pink flower so we know you are a crafter. )

I would also like to take this opportunity to also thank Tom and his staff from Rayleigh Fruit N Veg Ltd      for helping advertise the coffee morning and their continued support in helping me advertise the Craft Club.  It's always inspiring to meet hard working like minded people who are always ready to serve with a smile!

Following a number of requests I have now arranged the first (of hopefully many) coffee mornings, which is intended as a relaxed informal get together with like minded crafters in the local area, enjoying a coffee or tea and perhaps a slice of tasty cake and sharing crafting news and ideas.  Crafters are welcome to bring along their latest makes and share inspirational ideas with others.  Wear your pink flower so we know who the crafters are.
