Craft Club Challenge - 1st April 2013

Something for Summer! Pin-wheels and Mobiles for a summer party.

The summer is now fast approaching and the anticipation of hot dreamy days and impromptu picnics is now tantalisingly close and so I thought I would show you some pretty easy projects to add to your experience.  These are great for parties in the garden or home but for the club I have adapted the ideas for cards and scrapbook pages.

You will need:
  • Base card stock. (A4...I have used white for my card)
  • Complimentary printed papers such as 12" x 12" also double sided printed papers are ideal for this so that the hanging pieces can swing in the breeze and are great for pinwheels.
  • Ribbon or string (to hang your mobile if doing a large verson) plus cotton or ribbon to attach your mobile shapes to the main mobile.
  • Die-cut shapes to hang from the mobile.
  • Wooden Kebab Skewers, drinking strawers or Pinwheel mechanisms if you are making the pinwheels.
  • Gems and finishing touches.

My 3D mobile card is great for posting as it folds flat and is easy to pop up plus the tabs on the reverse are hidden from view so it looks great from all angles...I will add a photo of the front shortly plus additional photos for the pinwheels and my large 3D party mobile as soon as these are complete.  The templates for making the pinwheels and the 3D mobile card are here in the studio for you to use during the craft club session.

  2. Thanks Jasmine, yes it is a pretty one, another difficult one to photograph as the 3D mobile is very 3D but does not appear so in the pic. Thanks again for your lovely comments. Debbie x
