Craft Club Challenge - 23rd July 2012

Rosettes

As you know I love 3D elements for all my crafting projects and thought it would be a good idea to show you some lovely ideas to create some rosettes which look great with 3D flowers and also great for home decor crafting.

So for this weeks challenge we will be creating paper crafted rosettes and I will be experimenting with fabric and ribbons.  You will need to also bring brads and tacky glue.

Here are some samples and as you can see my new fringing scissors have made an appearance and have been well used.  A big thank you to June, Yvonne and Dorothy for letting me use some of your rosettes to show this lovely selection.  The fabric rosettes are easy to do but you do need a hot glue gun.  If you would like to know how to do these pop along to the Craft Club for lots of ideas and inspiration.

3D Mandalla

Here is a quick reminder of the dimensions for the 3D Mandalla - start with an A4 sheet, then do the following: (click once to enlarge)

Score and crease at 3" and 6.5" along the longest side.  along the shortest side at both ends mark every 1/2 " and cut into strips (remember there will be a small strip left over....disgard this and make sure your 1/2 " marks correspond on both sides.

Then assemble the strips as instructed at the Craft Club.

Happy "Summer" Crafting.
