Craft Club Challenge - 28th January 2013

Stamping with Shadows!

A big hello to our first Craft Club Challenge for 2013....Yey!

This year we are tackling some more technical arty stuff with both  paper and general crafts as well as incorporating the usual die cuts from time to time.  The first challenge involves rubber stamping and particularly shadow stamps.  These are stamps which are blocked with no line art detail and are so simple to use and you can do so much with them.

You will need:
  • Card Blanks
  • Smooth card stock for stamping on can be matching the colour of your card blank or contrasting.
  • Coloured inks if you have them (I have some here if you have none)
  • Some ribbon or lace and small accents to finish with.
  • (optional extra...) Embossing powders & clear ink.
Criteria:
Create a card or craft project using the following:
  • long flags created from car stock, stamped with shadow stamps.
  • x 1 long border created from card/ribbon/lace.
  • Greetings label
  • Optional extra....experiment with embossing powders.
Tried to keep it fairly simple on our first week back but you can be as creative as you like.....remember...it can be any type of craft project.....experimentation offers great rewards!

The lovely coordinating 3D flowers and paper feathers will be demonstrated in next weeks Craft Club.
