I am now suitably refreshed from my travels to Jersey (what a gorgeous place to visit) and I am back in the delights of designing and creating beautiful crafty ideas to share with our Craft Club ladies and my internet friends from facebook, twitter and pinterest. So without any more dilly dallying ....here we go....
This weeks challenge is to create a card, craft project or 3D object using the Cupcake theme as your inspiration....here is what I came up with ....a beautiful 3D cupcake which hides a lovely gift (one which I will be using for my family visitors who are staying with us in June...a plate of these in each bedroom holding goodies such as choclates, mini soaps, tea bags for the morning cuppa and mini biscuits) I'll be demonstrating this one at the craft club this week.
As you can see I have made 3D shabby roses to go on the top which is a bit time consuming but you can used die cut flowers to make it quicker! We will do this one step by step.
Here is another lovely cupcake in lemon and lilac:
Or if you fancy just doing a card here is another simple one to get you going....needs a bit more decoration but it gives you the idea
For the 3D cupcake project you will need to bring:
- Printed or plain good weight card stock at A4 or bigger.
- Paper for the roses or flowers and card for the domed piece for them to go on....I used x 3 pieces of A4 pink lightweight card.
- Tacky PVA glue
- Ribbons
- Scissors
- Quilling tool for 3D roses or any flower dies you have....I have some here for you to use.
- Hougie board or Martha Stewart board if you have them (for regular scoring which makes it quicker) but I have a Hougie and similar boards here if you don't have them.
- x1 A4 sheet of plain cardstock
- Printed paper
- PVA or Glue stick or D/S tape
Have a great crafting week and I will post more photos of projects that are completed this week as soon as they are finished.
