Craft Club Challenge - 10th June 2013

This weeks theme at the Craft Club for our crafty projects will be trees, trees and more trees...  and this gives us a fantastic opportunity to play with a great set of stamps from Inkylicious and 2 lovely stamps from Barbara Grey's Clarity range. I bought these at the Alexander Palace Stamp and Scrapbooking show in April 2013 ( I just had to have it...really I did!!!!)

Here is just one sample of the techniques I want to show you...this is a simple but effective card for a man  (always harder to achieve mens cards...I can't think why??)
Not an easy one to photograph as the full effect of the shadow on the tree is difficult to see.

You will need to bring:
  • Smooth cardstock for printing on (plus box board if you have any....I have some here if you need it.)
  • Pigment inks, dye based inks, Distress inks, embossing powders if you have them...some are available here if you do not.
  • If you have any of your own tree stamps you may like to bring them.
  • Base greeting card or project.
  • PVA glue (cheaper PVA is good as you may use a bit more than usual) and d/s tape  plus sticky dots if you have them.
  • Acrylic paint, white is best but any colour is fine. (if you don't have acrylic paint don't worry you can watch one of the techniques to see if you like it and have a go later.)
  • Guilding wax if you have any.
  • Everything else needed to complete the background techniques I will have here
  • Luggage tags...I have some here if you want to have a go or you can make your own.

As the week progresses I will pop more samples here.
