Craft Club Challenge - 16th April 2012

Aaaaaaah, now I love this one and it really isn't hard to do.  This will inspire those who just like to add lots of embellishments but of course you can change the style completely and go down the retro or contemporary route and this is also great for childrens cards too.

The Theme for this challenge is:   Romantic Elegance
(Don't be put off by the Theme...use whatever you have in any style if you wish)

For this Challenge you will need:

  • Cardstock plain 12" x 12"    x1   (I used an A3 sheet and you get x 2 cards from 1 sheet, I also have some extra here if you need it)
  • Pretty printed paper 12" x 12"    x2 (Contrasting or cordinating)
  • Ribbons
  • Embellishments
  • Lace
  • Double sided tape plus PVA bookbinding glue or similar or pritt stick which works well & is less messy and pinflair glue gel/silicone or sticky glue dots (this is to put on the accents.
  • Scissors, pencil, craft knife and small embossing tool.
  • Decorative border punch or die (available at the club, new dies this week!)
Dimensions:   Main Card - 12" x 5   1/2"  Scored: 2",   5  3/4",  7  3/4",   11.5", (1/2" left)
                     Ledge: 2.5" x    5 3/4"   (1" removed from top 2 corners)

Here is the finished card and this will be demonstrated this week at the craft clubs (apart from Tuesday morning which is a cardmaking starter club)

This beautiful card is decoarted from every angle and has a pocket on the back for a tag to write the greeting/message on. Although I have used some 3D ellements this does flatten down very easily for postage.  (Other samples of the 3D box card are on my Gallery)

I was inspired by a lovely lady who created a similar card and would like to thank her for her wonderful ideas and for sharing them and enabling me to pass them on. (Crafting is all about sharing and having fun!)

Happy crafting!
