Craft Club Challenge - 26th November 2012

Bauble Recycling

We all admit to spending too much money over the Christmas period and our purses feel bruised and battered by the time we get to January, so I am again using some recycled baubles and creating something beautiful to adorn our homes/Christmas trees.

You can take just small elements and use them on other projects or cards so if bauble recycling isn't your thing then create something you like.

This week I will be decorating old baubles using fabric, braiding, paper, old pine cones (which I have loads here) so if you come to the club bring your old baubles, PVA glue or strong tape,  pieces of fabric or old clothes you don't mind recycling, matching ribbons, braids beads and complimentary paper.

This is my simple tree shaped ornament...I was going to cover my round recycled bauble with pine cone pieces but I had such a large pone cone(I know I'm boasting but it really is huge!!!!) that I thought it would be better suited to this...it is covered on both sides and will look great on the tree.
This was one of the boring old plain cream baubles I picked up in sale after Christmas last year ...x 4 for £1!!!  A bit of stretchy black lace, some ribbons, paper roses and punched holly leaves added with a hot glue gun and I now have a stylish bauble for my tree.  The ribbons and rose look orange in the photo but they are in fact bright red.

More Photos will follow as I make more...
