As you know, there seems to be endless creativity when playing with paper crafts and I thought my next challenge would be a great technique creating mosaics with paper craft in mind.
Criteria:
Create a Card Topper/Greeting Card/Craft project using the paper craft mosaic technique. This will be demonstrated at the Craft Club this week.
You will need:
- Card for the base of the project/topper (fairly thick to stop warping, you can use old recycled greeting cards or old packaging as long as its fairly thick)
- Double sided sticky film in sheet form...which is the same as double sided sticky tape on the reel but is in a larger sheet. (I will have small sampler sizes here if you cannot get hold of any)
- A variety of glitters and/or embossing powders (gold and silver embossing powders are great or any colour you have ....Clear will not work on this project and if you have the Ultra thick embossing powders they work really well.
- Scrap paper/card (printed)....I use recycled old cards and I have plenty here for you to use.
- Any other materials to complete your project.
Here are a couple of panels created using the Mosaic technique...unfortunately these are very difficult to photograph and the true beauty of these just does not come across. The pretty pink mosaic panel really does look like china as the glaze gives it a ceramic appearance... more samples to follow with embossing powders and a finished project will be up-loaded as soon as complete.
