I think the nerves always get the better of us when stamping with alphabet stamps...worrying about how to fit in the words we want to stamp and if they are positioned correctly, straight and evenly spaced..and unfortunately the stress of over thinking these dilemas often mean we simply do not use these wonderful stamps when they can actually be so useful!
In this weeks Craft Club session I will be showing you some simple techniques for how to use these stamps and getting the results you want....keeping stress of stamping to a minimum and having loads of fun along the way. The sample below shows you how to be inspired by a stamped image (such as the teapot) and using it as a reference for key words. My card has a little envelope with a tea bag in it for the recipient to try out and is neatly pegged onto the card for easy removal.
These lovely stamps will be making a special appearance for this week and I am sure there will be some lovely cards and projects created. Don't forget you can stamp on fabric and wood too!
If you come to the club you will need:
- Your base greeting card or base support for your work....this can be a wooden plaque, a lampshade, a tile, a tea towel, a bag, ribbon etc...(but you may need some specialist ink for certain surfaces.)
- Smooth white or cream card to stamp onto if doing a greeting card.
- Felt tip pens for tinting the images by the water colour method if you have them.
- Additional accessories to finish your card such as ribbon gems etc...plus a tea bag if you want to do the teapot card.
I will be adding to the samples and hope that you enjoy playing with the letter stamps.
Looking forward to seeing you all and have a great week in this lovely sunshine!
