Craft Club Challenge - 1st July 2013

Just come back from another fantastic Craft Coffee morning with 16 of us at the Café and boy did we have a good chatter!! Lovely to see all our regulars as well as some new faces and I must say the beautiful samples brought in by Pauline (patchwork quilt) and Maureen (delicate lacework garter for a wedding) were absolutely stunning work! I am now really looking forward to the next one.

Now back to work.  I know we all cringe when having to create cards for the men in our lives....not always easy to come up with designs for men and this is why we are yet again addressing this challenge in this weeks craft club sessions.

I have designed a couple of samples and there are more on the way and I guess it will be easier to say just bring with you any cardstock or printed papers in colours or print suited to men (although my Adie has been know to wear a pink t-shirt so I guess you can bring anything you fancy.)

I used core-dinations cardstock for the brown which distresses really well when sanded.
This above card would be great with a photo placed in the middle of the frame!

This lovely boxed shirt is from an old template which has been in the studio unused for years....it just goes to show that although we all have older craft equipment they still deliver when needed! There is also a great bottle template which again would make a great boxed card.

We will be using several set of stamps and embossing boards and there will be plenty to go around.

If you have embossing powders, bring them along to try out some of the great stamps such as the waistcoat as above.

See you at the club and have a great crafty week in this lovely warm sunshine.
