It is at this time of the year that Autumn Cottage is heaving with baby birds and their families and so now is a great time to use this as our theme for this weeks Challenge. Craft Club members have a few options this week and its up to you what you go for.
- The 3D sculptured bird
- The bird greeting card.
- or you can go free range and come up with your own design based on that theme using our dies and your own ideas...you can decorate a photo frame, a small canvass, a gift bag etc
- newspaper.
- pva glue.
- wrapping paper or thin decorative papers for decoupage or paint is you want to go all arty...as soon as the base sculpture is complete they will be popped in the airing cupboard but you may need to finish the decoupage later.
- tin foil.
- Masking tape preferably or cellotape
Here is my sample which is now ready for decoration (this one is a longer project so you may need to decorate it next week or at home.)
If you are going for the greeting card you will need to bring:
- Your base card stock plus a 12 x 12 sheet for the pop out....this can be plain think cardstock or thick paper but must be 12 x 12 if possible. (I have some at the cottage if you do not have any)
- decorative papers for decoration. (I will provide the die cut embellishments as shown on my sample)
- d/s tapes and glues and your basic equipment including anything you may have in your stash at home which is bird orientated.
Have a great week.
