Craft Club Challenge 5th March 2012

Here's another CC (Craft Club) Challenge for you to have a try.  Have a go and use this as a reminder of what you can use from your craft stash and add that little extra detail...its makes all the difference but with very little effort.

Envelope Up-grade!

With just a small tweak here and there this envelope will be the first hint of something special to come...believe me, you just can't beat that moment of wonderment at whats to follow.  So here's the challenge: decorate your envelope, then, if you have the energy create your card. Usually you would do it the other way around but its fun to try something different.)  I would leave it simple if you are posting and leave off the faux stamp).

Your criteria:

Your decoration on your envelope must include:
  •  A shaped panel of card or paper (made into a slider with slits at each end for ribbon to thread in, under the panel and out .. the panel can then slide along the length of ribbon)
  •  A faux stamp on the top right corner. (if not posting)
  • Ribbon, string or fibres threaded through the slider and tied at the other side
  • Any style (trendy bright colours/vintage/female or male/retro etc)
  • X 1 button
  • Peel-off waste (you know..the stuff thats left over once you have used the peel-off)
  • Rubber stamping.
You  can add anything else you like as long a you incude the above criteria. (to keep the envelope rigid put the card inside whilst you work just be carefull if you are decorating the inside of the flap etc.

Have fun!   This is my first envelope below...more to follow!  Remember to pop matching papers and bits in the envelope to help you create the card when you are ready.

This was made from a topper I created at the Craft Club this week. The darker panel was hand cut and the White panel was cut from a Spellbinder die then the background inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I love the elf stamp which was stamped and embossed with Moon glow embossing Powder. I did a bit of deconstruction using an old satin rose ripped appart and reconstructed then topped with a button. And finally I added the peeloff waste dots and 2 strips on the stamp and there you have it ...a creative envelope with lots of inspiration for a creative card.
